If Your Private Information was Impacted in a Data Incident Announced by Lifeline Systems in September 2023, You May Be Entitled to Benefits From A Class Action Settlement.

A proposed Settlement has been reached in a class action, Twaylah Englar, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, v. Lifeline Systems Company, Case No. 2484CV02895-BLS, filed in the Superior Court Department for Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Business Litigation Section.

This litigation arises out of a cybersecurity incident that occurred between July 27, 2022 and August 6, 2022, during which an unauthorized third party gained access to Lifeline’s network and accessed and/or acquired document on Lifeline’s system containing personally identifiable information (“PII”) and/or protected health information (“PHI”) of approximately 74,000 individuals (the “Data Incident”). Defendant denies all allegations of wrongdoing or liability.

A Settlement Class has been proposed, consisting of the approximately 74,000 individuals residing in the United States whose private information was potentially impacted in the Data Incident first announced by Lifeline in September 2023.

You are included in this Settlement as a Settlement Class Member if you were notified that your PII/PHI may have been impacted in the Data Incident. Your legal rights are affected regardless of whether you do or do not act. Read the Long Form Notice and FAQs carefully.

The Court in charge of this case must still decide whether to approve the Settlement, including Class Counsel’s request for attorneys’ Fees, Costs, and Expenses and a service award for the Class Representative. No Settlement benefits will be provided until the Court approves the Settlement, and it becomes Final.

Your Legal Rights and Options in this Settlement

Submit a Claim Form

You will automatically receive an enrollment code to active credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.

You must submit a Valid Claim to receive monetary benefits.

Claim Forms must be submitted online by the Claims Deadline of September 19, 2025, or, if mailed, postmarked no later than September 19, 2025.

Do Nothing

If you do nothing, you remain in the Settlement.

You give up your rights to sue and you will not get any compensation.

File an Objection

Tell the Court why you think the settlement, Class Counsel’s request for combined attorneys’ fees and expenses, or the service award should not be approved. objections must be postmarked no later than the Objection Date of October 31, 2025.

You will still be bound by the Settlement if the Court approves it.

Go to a Hearing

You can ask to speak in Court about the fairness of the Settlement, at your own expense. See Question 18 for more details.

The Final Fairness Hearing is scheduled for November 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
